FROM BOSTON - Approx. 15 miles

Take either Callahan Tunnel, Ted Williams Tunnel, or Tobin Bridge North

(From Logan Airport.
Exit right to Rte IA North then follow directions below from Callahan Tunnel.
Do not go into the Sumner Tunnel as that leads you into Boston)

 

From Callahan Tunnel & Ted Williams Tunnel

• Follow Rte IA North up to Bell Circle- Bear Right Stay on lA.
• Go through Revere into Lynn.
• Bear right onto Rte 129 towards Swampscott- Marblehead.
• Follow road along ocean into Swampscott (Humphrey St.)
• Continue through Swampscott on #129 (It becomes Atlantic Ave.
• You will see the "Entering Marblehead" sign on the right at Preston Beach.
• Continue on Atlantic Ave through two sets of lights.
• About 1/2 mile after the last set of lights, take a right on Washington St. (A sign indicates "To the Harbor".)
• Follow up over the hill and down the hill, bear left at the bottom, As you bear left, take the first right, a small street called Darling St., follow to the end.
• Take left onto Front St.
• From Front Street turn right on Ferry Lane and park at the second space on your left(keep telephone pole on your right.)
• Walking towards the harbor, the Cottage will now be on your left, behind a gray picket fence.
• Go through the gate into the Garden to the Hollyhock Cottage

If you end up at the Town Landing, you’ve passed the cottage.

 

From Tobin Bridge:

• Go over Bridge onto Rte 1 North.
• Take Rte 16 - Revere Exit-Right.
• You will come shortly to Bell Circle.
  Follow directions as above.

 

From Rte 128( 95)

• Take rte 114 Exit( Salem! Marblehead) follow through Salem into Marblehead, Rte 114 becomes Pleasant St.
• After you pass the Village Plaza on your left, take next right - Washington St- (Sign is difficult to see).
• Cross Atlantic Aye, continue on Washington over hill by Abbott Hall, down hill, take right at Darling St.
  See above to reach the Cottage.
